And because maintenance is planned, minor problems are picked up before they become major, and expensive, issues. Troubleshooting, and many repairs, can also be done over the phone. In the past you would waste time and money sending your gear in to the workshop, where assessment would often reveal nothing wrong. So, you would be no further ahead and having to pay an inspection fee.
